I tend to get headaches on almost a daily basis….I do eat a lot of chocolate, have a lot of anxiety, and I've pretty much had headaches since my early teens. I get them very easily and it's very bothersome especially since I have 3 children. It makes me so irritable and I snap at them. I don't like to do that to them but I'm sick of taking Tylenol, Excedrin etc. I'd like to try a natural route. The thing is I know chocolate can trigger headaches but I'm seriously addicted. Chocolate is my fix…..if I'm so stressed out it actually makes me get relief. I don't know what else to do. I can't really sit quietly with music and meditate with three children ages 4 and under so I need some kind of remedy that doesn't take a lot of time and peace and quiet. lol I'm desperate! Thanks!

R u eating properly? MSG is a big one. MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE. A lot of people are sensitive to this chemical found in quite a few foods. Are u getting enough fruits and veggies and foods with vitamins. Go for an apple or an orange to get instant energy instead of ur chocolate. Do u drink a lot of coffee during the day? That can dehydrate u causing a headache too. If u drink coffee remember to drink lots of water and keep ur caffeine intake down. Including soda drinks. Drink fruit juices for instant and long term energy. Remember to eat healthy and drink lots of fluids to keep up with ur busy life.

For the past two weeks, I’ve been having headaches that last for hours or all day. I get tension headaches, but I don’t think this is the cause. Motrin and Tylenol aren’t helping much. What could these headaches be caused by?
I've been pretty nauseous this past week, too, if that could be related.

You could have an infection, sinusitis or other. You may not drink enough water or too much coffee and tea. You could have migraine - some people have attacks that last for weeks. Or it could be something more serious. I’d see a doctor if I were you and rule out some possible causes.

I have taken all kinds of medicine my doctor prescribed me but hey don't seem to be working. I am ready to try any hollistic or home remedy's anyone may know of. I am willing to try anything to stop these unbearable headaches.

There are a few very popular homeopathic sinus products. Quite a few people take them to help sinus health (and I also take one that REALLY works well for me rather quickly).
Hyland makes a product simply called "Sinus", there's other ones I've seen called "Sinusalia" and "Sinufix", plus there are some other homeopathic brands that have other products that have something like sinus in the name.

Most of the homeopathic products have ingredients that the "common man" can't make heads or tails of, but quite a few people get a LOT of benefit from them.

You can also try using a cold pack (wrapped in cloth) or a cold wet towel on your face (over your eyes and sinus area), sit in a dark room for an hour or so (no lights or visual stimulation), or a combination of both like when you are about to go to bed.

I have a really bad pepsi addiction. Well, more it's that I am afraid of getting a caffeine headache. The trouble is is that I also have migraines. I've tried to stop soda before, however I got caffeine headaches that most of the time turned to a full blown migraine. Which puts me out of commission. I have two toddlers, so I don't have time to be out with a migraine. Any suggestions other than caffeine pills? The caffeine pills don't seem to work and are awfully expensive when trying to compensate with them.

to break mine…I took advil on schedule from the second I got up to bed time everyday for about two weeks. I also loaded up on ice tea and water….If you keep your stomach full of water…you won't crave the soda… It took me about two weeks of doing but I have been soda free for about three months now… The headaches are the worst but if you can get thru the headaches your clear.

I had a stroke when I was 27, 2 years ago. Since the stroke I have had severe headaches. I’ve tried topomax, fioricet, vicodin, and percocet. What is the best pain reliever for headaces post brain trauma? My MD is so busy, I just met with her and it’s difficult to keep her in the room. Looking for good info.
Can't take Ibprophen bc of risk of blook clots.

There’s the possibility your headaches are migraines, for which I take Imitrex. It works well, especially in injection form (injection stings like hell though). The unfortunate part is if you’re not insured, Imitrex costs a small fortune (100 mg tabs are around $25-30 per pill at the pharmacy, you might be able to fill it online for less). As it is non-narcotic, it doesn’t have the level of sedating effect percocet/vicodin has, but it will make you a bit sleepy. Good luck!

I have chronic sinus headaches and I am on lots of Rxs for allergies/sinus but they do not help the headaches.

I have chronic sinus problems and the only thing that helps me is to do as saline rinse a minimum of once a day. (OTC and prescriptions tend to dry me out so much I get really bad bloody noses…so I avoid them.)

If you are having a lot of problems, there's a product called Alkalol. Here’s what it looks like: http://www.westburyonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=19299&HS=1

If you go to a Target pharmacy (or even some of the larger grocery stores) they sell it. Many times they keep it behind the counter so you just have to ask the pharmacist for it.

I use this only occasionally because it does pack a wallop. Nothing painful but it certainly does clear you out!!

I understand my homework and everything, but it just takes a long time and ive been getting headaches while doing it and that just makes doing my homework 10 times worse. Not doing it is not a option, so what can i do?

What is causing your headaches is the stress you have from doing your homework. You are probaly having a hard time figuring out the problems so then you are stressed about how to do the problem. What i have done is take a break from it for a while and work on something else then go back to it after maybe a 1/2 hour.

What do headaches in the back of your head mean?
What do headaches in the front of the head mean?
What do headaches in the side of the head mean?
What do headaches in the top of the head mean?

By what do they mean, I mean like stress, ect.

headache in the back could be tension.front probably sinus.side could be cluster, tension there are different points..but the location of each headache could change…..some headaches could be brought on by stress, not eat ting properly are they could be migraines and there are many migraine triggers…
